Clovis News-Journal: Day 49: The Memorial Service

Today was the memorial service for the fallen soldier. The funeral was to be held in Louisiana so they had a memorial service locally. I showed up very early to hang out with the family. I felt it very important to be there for the entire event whether or not the before and after made for good photos. This was about showing respect to the family. I didn't want to be like I've seen TV guys do, show up right before or late to the ceremony and leave right afterwards. Again, the family was happy for me to be there, which made me feel more at ease.
I didn't feel as attached this day, as I did at the family's home. After going through that, today was cake.
